Reisa Peters My name is Reisa Peters and I am a pastel artist. I have always been interested in the human face and even as a child attempted to capture a likeness on paper. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Empire State College, State University of New York. My husband is in the military and as we have moved, I have studied with various artists in different locations and taken workshops wherever we were stationed at the time. I feel this has given me a diverse and varied perspective to art that I would not have received otherwise. I work primarily in pastel and find that I am able to capture the realism of my subjects using this medium. I enjoy the directness of placing the pigment straight on the paper without the hindrance of a brush. My interests have grown since the early years and I enjoy painting a variety of subjects: animals, still-life, landscapes, buildings, and figures.
